In this interactive presentation we will share preliminary results of a census survey of mathematics Ph.D programs conducted in Fall 2021. The survey was sent to all Ph.D granting mathematics departments in the US. This survey followed up a similar survey conducted in 2014 in partnership with the Progress Through Calculus project. We will discuss the changing landscape of graduate teaching assistant (GTA) professional development for teaching (PDT). This work is part of a larger effort by the MAA CoMInDS project. Analysis of the survey data will be used to: (1) understand changes in the landscape of preparing graduate students to teaching since 2014 and (2) inform the mathematics community about the current state and needs of providers delivering the PDT.
